Not really sure I would be caught dead wearing it, but there have been several times over the last few years that I really wish I had remembered a memory stick when out or visiting a customer.
This "watch" designed by Ondrej Vaclavik may be tacky, but I really do like the concept.
Now if only Brietling would add this feature to there Bentley series watches....then maybe I could convince the boss I need one as a work write off.
I always forget to post when we have finished a project, so I will try and do better at that.
This was our latest project hot off the press this week. With over 1800 products - this catalogue was a super challenge trying to get so MANY products on to a page, and yet still have it look nice, easy to read, and carry over some of their branding criteria. With some glamour shots, recipes and tips though, it makes for an interesting read as well.
Thankfully our customer was SUPER HAPPY!!
As a Canadian, I am mortified at our lack of medals, ... but despite all that, I am still intrigued with how China puts on an event - especially with all the controversy that surrounds it.
But what really intrigues me is the architecture of the stadium - very well done!!
These are some pretty funky aluminum Coca-Cola bottles. Designed as a collaboration between musicians from New York and graphic designers from China in honor of the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics. They tie in with the "Coke Side of Life" campaign that they've been running for the last year or so which has always caught my eye. I like the fact that they made them aluminum bottles instead of the standard cans, they are very sleek.
When I was in Vegas a couple weeks ago, I fell in love with a Jimmy Choo handbag. Go figure. The price tag stopped me. But now that I have looked online, I realize that it was an absolute steal at $1600. Everywhere else is selling it for $2000.
At first glance this probably doesn't look that out of the ordinary. But I did a lot of shopping around, and found that this handbag was different from everything else out there, and is still the practical/functional bag that I was looking for. It is a combination of liquid patent and suede. And even this unique colour caught my eye more than the black or brown versions. Blue can be neutral, right???
Of course, a Ferragamo also caught my eye with the equally high price tag. But in the end, I found that a lot of the designer labels had similar styles and colours. Burgundy, or should I say "cherry" was definitely in everyone's collection this fall.
I really have not much to say, other then wow.....I'm glad tech toys have come a long way in 20 years.
I really have no purpose to this blog, other then I can't believe at one point in time that this would have been the "ideal" set up!

I'm glad I pulled out of Bell this summer! Apparently Bell has unveiled their brand campaign. The Idea is to show that Bell is moving forward with more competitive pricing. Really? Their slogan "Today just got better" in English Canada and "La vie est Bell" in Quebec has me thinking B.S.
Just before their new "brand campaign" they announced now all customers will pay $0.15 cents for all incoming texts. Really? Bell? Did today just get better? I think not! Especially when I have to pay when I get spam text messages? (Luckily, I don't. But what if I did?)
What's the deal? Honestly I can see switching to a more "vintage" look - one color print job will definitely lower print costs, but was the move worth it? Are they really moving forward or backwards? Honestly they had an amazing logo, the best of them all and it still looks modern to this date. I'm just disgusted by the lack of thought and creativity. Heck, their old logo was far superior to this!
This was the winning design by Zaha Hadid Architects for the new Guggenheim Hermitage Museum that will be built in the ancient city of Vilnius, capital and the largest city of the Republic of Lithuania. Although it won the contest, they are still trying to determine if it is feasible to build it. If it does get built I think it would be amazing to take a trip to see it! It looks like a space craft landed in the city. Cool design, very sleek and modern!
Fashion Designers really do seem to like to expand outside their comfort zone. Here is the latest hook-up between Roberto Cavalli and Coca-Cola.
But as usual, this limited edition run is not available to us Canadians. Just Italians this time around.

Mojo is an alternative alcoholic beverage with Guarana. Guarana is a nut-like seed that grows in Brazil and has been used for centuries by the indigenous people as a natural energy supplement. Its main ingredient contains 2.5 more caffeine than the coffee bean itself!!
It is a Canadian product that can be found in Quebec or Alberta so far. I am sure Ontario is not far behind. What!!? I love the packaging - that is the only reason I am interested. It has nothing at all to do with my energy drink addiction!!
