The logo and headline were printed in light sensitive ink. So it only appears after exposed to light. I think it was a great idea. In general I like the idea of subscriber covers because you no longer have to sell it on the stands with multiple cluttered headlines and more generic photography and they are more creative and interesting, and I know a lot of fashion magazines such as W and Harper's Bazaar do subscriber covers.
