This is a great idea, its an umbrella pot, the water from the umbrella drips down and waters the plant at the base

Pepsi_NEW look (Is this for real?)
I found this tidbit on a blog called DIELINE. They have said that Pepsico has redesigned their Pepsi cans and bottles with a logo that is supposed to represent a smile:

What is with all these large corporations taking a step backwards. This new look lacks emotion, dynamics, movement, or the feeling of refreshment. It just looks flat and boring.
movie posters
I love movies, I use to be a pretty big movie junkie, not as much time for that now but I came across this post from Smashing Magazine and saw some of my favourite movie posters on their list of 50 beautiful movie posters. The poster below for The Dark Knight is on their list, I saw it a few months back and instantly loved it. I love the layering effect, and how the jokers cards become the image of Batman so seamlessly.
Sunglasses for your PC......
This is something new I stumbled onto today.
Around the office everyone always grumbles about there eyes being "shot" after staring at their screens for 12 hours a day. So when I was reading about GUNNAR OPTIK I thought this may be something interesting to try around the office.
Seems that they have come up with a lens that promises to reduce strain caused by staring at a screen all day. I'm not that bright so the tech behind it is way beyond me.
I think the boss wants to try a pair out here just to see what they are like.
I'll do an update when we get a pair here to play with, but don't expect me to ditch my Prada's for them just yet!

Carefull who you make angry.....
Well........This is what happens when a company displays bad customer service.
The sides and rear spell out a laundry list of complaints the owner has with it: "This FIAT is very unreliable, 2 new clutches, 2 new flywheels, 2 new master cylinders, 2 new servos, Since new, Nothing but aggro." Apparently this guy isn't too happy with his little FIAT and hasn't gotten any satisfaction from his dealer.
Carefull what you do in business as you never know when it can come back to bite you.
Viktor & Rolf's design for Piper Heidsieck
This is pretty smart. Fashion designers Viktor & Rolf were asked to design a limited edition set for Piper Heidsieck Champagne this is what they came up with: 
They took the standard objects and inversed them. The champagne glass has been flipped, and the bottom expanded, resembling a martini glass. The base of the champagne bottle is small and the cork has become enormous. I'm not sure about practicality but it would definitely catch peoples attention and make a great collectors piece!

Edible Nikes.........?
I have seen a few of these pop up online in the last month_Edible Nikes.
No idea what the point of it is, but some pretty cool creativity goes into these to make them look like the real thing!
Ican only assume that they would be short lived due to rotting......but still a very cool idea that looks pretty good for what it is.
Diesels birthday.......
Diesel is celebrating its 30th birthday on Friday and in celebrating this they have launched a website and are releasing a pair of jeans for one day only to mark the event.
The Jeans will be called 30 (XXX) and will be released only in certain flag ship stores and on their official website. They are a take off of a regular style with a custom wash and custom details with the XXX and 1978-2008 dates on them.
They big deal about the whole thing is that they are releasing them dirt cheap compared to their normal brand. The average price for a pair of jeans is $160 and these will be released all over Europe for $30(insert your currency).
Here in Canada I think I figured out a way to get them without leaving the comfort of our office for the sum of $50 + Shipping!
Anyone else camping out to get these????
