Fashionista Tea

I have always wanted to have tea at one of those posh hotels in London, and I think I'd like to try Afternoon tea at the Berkeley! All their tea biscuits and cakes are inspired by the fashion from designers such as Christian Dior, Burberry, Christian Lacroix , Louis Vuitton, and Mulberry.

Inspired by Japanese Capsule Hotels

Simon Woodroffe was inspired by Japanese Capsule Hotels. Combined with the look of an airline sleeper, he came up with the idea for YOTEL.  He has even used the language of business class airlines to name the rooms - Premium or Standard Cabins.

The first hotels have been launched at the London Heathrow and Gatwick Airports, where space is at a premium. What a great way to get some shut-eye before your connector flight.

Rock Climbing_Bend Oregon

As per my usual, I thought I would give a small highlight from my trip this past week.

We stayed at the Sunriver Resort in Bend, Oregon.  It has something like 33 thousand acres of land, all of which is absolutely beautiful with stunning scenery.

As part of a team building session, we all went over to Smith Rocks to do some rock climbing.

And as proof, that I actually did it:

(The feeling of accomplishment was worth the pain that I am feeling today!)

Travel RANT

We were on our way to meetings out in Oregon, and looking forward to a great dinner. But as it turned out the airlines had a different idea.
We don't know what happened. But customs was backed up by a couple of hours.  And the staff had no clue how to manage the crowds. Thankfully, they delayed the plane for us.

We finally get on the plane, and we sit on the Tarmac for a couple of hours, before they finally send us back in to the gate. They have to find another plane as there was a mechanical problem.

Then they have to find a new pilot and crew, because this would be more hours than they can work in one shift.

We finally get on the new plane, and they delay us, because there was a kitchen fire, and there is no food.

Of course we miss our connection in San Fran, and have to wait another 3 hours to get another connection. It took us longer than the guys from Japan/ Europe and Australia to get to our meetings.

The trip home is another story, but I am home now BUT with no luggage!! They can't find my luggage and have no idea where it could be.
Imagine.
