Mountain Dew hooking up with artists

I had heard about Mountain Dew hooking up with various artists to design a limited edition collection of aluminum bottles.  So I checked out their website called Green Label Art.

What I liked about this campaign is that once you got into the site (past the big logo driven intro), you forgot that it was about Mountain Dew. I found myself spending the time checking out the artists and their videos.  I found this website inspiring both by content and design.

(Still won't drink Mountain Dew, but hey, I keep it in the family and drink Pepsi!!)

ADIDAS impossible story

Ever wanted to be a Super hero? Jump a tall building? or fight a kangaroo??

Adidas has created a cool mini site that lets you upload your picture and join in an impossible journey.

When you are done saving the world or destroying a city, email the link to your friends for them to laugh along with you....or at you depending on the story!

WEBSITE OF THE MONTH_Leo Burnett

Yes, I am actually going to show you another graphic designer's website. But who are we kidding, they are definitely no competitor of ours.

Take a look at Leo Burnett's Website. Just a little over the top. You open up to a very clean page with their handwritten logo.

Grab the pencil and start doodling.

You navigate through the whole site using the doodling pencil.  This site has won all kinds of awards. And no wonder. The amount of time and effort that was put into both the US and the Canadian site is unbelievable.  Great Concept.

Be warned though. After the first 10 minutes, it gets kind of irritating. Being interactive should only go so far.

The Virtual Experience

When buying a car, it isn't just about the car itself it is about the EXPERIENCE. Which of course has been Saturn's philosophy for years. (A different kind of company. A different kind of car.)

But what about the Virtual Experience?  Check out the Mercedes AMG Website for an example of what I mean.  In case they can't get you to their physical showroom, they take you on a virtual tour.

There is a GPS system on the right hand side of the screen, as you drive up to the dealership. You then walk inside and stroll through the showroom. You can walk around the cars for the 360 view.  You can sit down in their in Lounge, watch tv or read a magazine (of course all about AMG).

Does it make me want to buy a Benz? Not really, but the experience was memorable.

Inspired by . . . Creative Minds

A blog that is worth checking out is High Snobiety.   It focuses on urban culture, so there is a ton of NIKE stuff (which we love to hate, but secretly are interested in). But what is fascinating is the creativity that is seen on this site. Anything from one of a kind Nike Collections to skateboard graphics, to unique retail shops in Tokyo, to artwork to limited edition TOYS.

These creative minds can definitely inspire us to think outside of the box.
